Improvements
- Your poems and game data are now automatically backed up on a regular schedule, with encryption to keep everything secure, so a hiccup on our end won't cost you your saved games.

New Features
- Improved visibility and readability across all themes with stronger color contrast.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where you couldn't always join a game that was already in progress, even if there were open spots.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
Bug Fixes
- Turning a poem's sharing on and off is now fully reliable — toggling it off actually revokes the link, and toggling it back on always produces a working link instead of a dead one. - Fixed a rare glitch where sharing a poem at the same time as another action (like a retry or a second share attempt) could leave the link in a broken or confusing state. - The poem page now correctly updates when a share link's status changes, so you won't see stale "expiring" messages after a link has already been renewed or revoked.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
New Features
- Friends who show up late can now join instantly by scanning a QR code — no typing, no waiting for a fresh link. - If your connection drops mid-game, Linejam now reconnects you right back into the action without losing your spot. - The big reveal now unfolds poem by poem in a clear, accessible order, so everyone can follow along easily.
Bug Fixes
- Smoothed out rough edges in the mobile game experience, including keeping the join QR code fully visible on smaller screens.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
Bug Fixes
- Cleaned up how poems store author information so lasting personal IDs no longer linger in poem data, tightening up privacy behind the scenes.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
New Features
- Added behind-the-scenes safeguards for our AI-powered poem features, including an emergency shutoff and spending limits, so the game stays reliable even if something goes wrong with the AI service.
Improvements
- Tightened up how AI-generated content is managed, helping keep Linejam running smoothly for everyone during game night.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
New Features
- Old game data doesn't pile up forever anymore — Linejam now automatically cleans up stale rooms, shares, and other leftovers after a set time, keeping things tidy behind the scenes.
Improvements
- Data cleanup runs on a predictable schedule, so there's less digital clutter without any action needed from players. - Behind-the-scenes safeguards ensure real player accounts are protected during cleanup, so you never have to worry about losing your own data.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
Improvements
- Linejam now keeps a closer eye on its poem-writing AI helper behind the scenes, so any hiccups get caught and fixed faster, keeping your game sessions running smoothly.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bunch of mobile layout glitches where buttons, controls, and text could spill off-screen or get squished — the game now fits properly within your phone's viewport. - Cramped screens with larger text sizes no longer crowd out important controls like the submit button or exit options. - The lobby and room screens no longer overflow or clip when zoomed or scaled, keeping all buttons reachable. - If you already submitted your line, the waiting screen now correctly shows you're waiting instead of losing track of your progress.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed sign-in, sign-up, and join screens getting cut off or awkward on phones—everything now fits properly on your screen. - Squashed a glitch where the header could misbehave during mobile taps and menu interactions.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where your game could get stuck or act strangely if you were playing right when we rolled out an update behind the scenes — Linejam now smoothly catches you up instead of leaving you on outdated code. - Squashed a related snag where your poem draft could be at risk during those same behind-the-scenes updates, so your lines in progress stay safe.
Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
Bug Fixes
- Tightened up our internal testing checks behind the scenes, helping us catch problems before they ever reach the game you play.

Improvements
- Behind the scenes, we've sharpened our monitoring so real problems get flagged to our team faster, while harmless one-off blips no longer trigger unnecessary noise.
Bug Fixes

Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
Bug Fixes

Archived notes from the previous release pipeline.
Bug Fixes
- Squashed a behind-the-scenes glitch in our automated testing setup that could cause smoke tests to run against the wrong browser — no player-facing impact, but it keeps Linejam more reliable under the hood.

Get ready to unleash your inner poet! We're thrilled to announce the launch of Linejam, a brand new real-time collaborative poetry game where you and your friends can create beautiful verses together. Each game consists of 9 rounds, offering plenty of opportunities for creative expression and playful collaboration. If your muse is flying solo, don't fret! You can now play against AI opponents powered by Gemini, making Linejam a fun and engaging experience whether you're a lone wolf or part of a pack.
We've also added some delightful visual flair to enhance your playing experience. Choose from four premium themes – Kenya, Mono, Vintage Paper, and Hyper – to set the mood and inspire your creativity. And when you've crafted a poem you're proud of, easily share it with the world! A simple click lets you copy your masterpiece to the clipboard, ready to paste and share wherever your heart desires.
Need a little guidance? We've included a handy floating help modal that clearly explains the game's rules. Plus, our unique word count indicator, inspired by traditional Japanese genkoyoushi paper, helps you keep track of your progress and stay within the flow.
Finally, we've made some behind-the-scenes tweaks to ensure everything runs smoothly, including fixing an issue with word counting to handle those extra spaces. Happy jamming!
